About | Wright Consulting, LLC

You know, the About Page is one of the hardest pages to create. There are a lot of things to consider. Is it personal, business, both, neither, should it be funny, strict, or worse yet, short or extremely detailed. Here’s what we came up with. Enjoy!

Our President, and Lead Consultant, is Orville Wright, who has been working with computers since he was a young teenager. Of course, we understand that you probably didn’t even finish the sentence without stopping to wonder if he is related to the airplane inventors, Orville and Wilbur Wright. The short answer is NO. The long answer is probably. We’re still checking the genealogy.

Now on to the business at hand. Mr. Wright was hooked the moment he saw his first commercial for a Tandy TRS-80 computer (that was Radio Shack, by the way). He quickly learned how to program that beast and desired to slay a bigger beast. And so he did. He went on to learn mainframe programming using the now-defunct language of COBOL. He quickly became the resident expert in all things and excelled in his computer experience and training. At every job, he became the office guru, or the go-to-guy, and learned about copiers, phones, faxes, word processors, and the like, but always moving forward with the evolving computer.

In June, 1993, he decided to venture out on his own and started Wright Consulting. His primary goal was to make computing easier for everyone. He offered training in computer and software. He performed requested and necessary updates and maintained systems by removing viruses and keeping the systems running smoothly. It is ironic that when Mr. Wright went out in to the cold, cruel, world as a computer consultant, he didn’t even own a computer. It certainly didn’t take him long to correct that minor problem.

Now, after 20 years in business, Wright Consulting has grown and evolved with the ever-changing computer industry. And, need we say, he will continue to grow and learn as new technologies are released. So there you have it! Mr. Wright and Wright Consulting in a nutshell.
